Lesson 1: An overview of the New Testament (2 Timothy 3:16)
The New Testament is the completion of the promises and prophecies made in the Old Testament. The New Testament is Jesus fulfilling everything God said would happen.
Lesson 2: Who is Jesus (The Gospels) (Matthew 16:15-16)
The Gospels help us find out who Jesus is and why He is called “Immanuel”, “Saviour”, “Lord”, “Messiah” and “Son of God”
Lesson 3: Jesus taught us (The Gospels) (Matthew 5:14)
Jesus is our greatest teacher, He teaches us to be different. What He taught so many years ago, still applies to our lives today.
Lesson 4: The character of Jesus (The Gospels) (Hebrews 1:3)
Jesus’ character reflects that of God’s own. By knowing who Jesus is, we can start to become more like Him with the help of the Holy Spirit.
Lesson 5: So we will believe in Jesus (John) (John 3:16)
The Book of John tells us about the miracles Jesus did. Jesus did miracles so that we can see and believe that He is God’s Son and have eternal life with God.
Lesson 6: God’s church grew (Acts) (Acts 1:8)
The Holy Spirit led the believers and gave them power so God’s church grew. The Book of Acts tells us about the people God used to spread the Good News about Jesus.
Lesson 7: Learn from the letters (Romans to Jude) (Ephesians 5:1-2)
The letters were written to remind, correct, warn, encourage and teach believers how to live lives that please the Father. And Jesus is our perfect example.
Lesson 8: Road to Salvation (Romans) (Romans 5:8)
Jesus is the only one who can save us from our sin. We call this salvation. The Book of Romans gives us important verses that teach us about being saved from sin.
Lesson 9: Know, grow and go (Colossians) (Colossians 3:17)
Paul wrote a letter to the church of Colossae reminding them who they were in Christ and how to live lives that please God. That same letter applies to our lives today.
Lesson 10: What God wants us to know (Revelation) (Revelation 21:6)
God gave John visions so we would know what to expect in the times we live in. This book shows us that we don’t need to be worried about anything we see because God is always in control. We already know that God has the victory!
